Kuryakyn red silver bullets installation problems, please help.
Having problems installing the red Kuryakyn Silver bullet lights I bought to replace the OEM rear turn signals and would like to see if any one can help me identify what I may be doing wrong.
The silver bullets come with only one black wire and the turn signal lights on the Fury have two wires on each side, right side one wire is blue with red stripes which is the hot wire and the other wire is green with red stripes which is the ground, the left side has a orange wire with red stripes which is the hot wire and a green wire with red stripes which is the ground.
The instructions for the silver bullets states to connect the black wire of each of the silver bullets to the hot wire of the bike, which in this case would be the blue wire with red stripes and the orange wire with red stripes and that the bullet light must be connected to the body or chassis of the bike and this would serve as the ground for the lights.
Now after connecting the hot wires, the way that I am connecting the ground wire of the bike harness (green with red stripes), is by connecting this wire to the body of the bullet light to serve as a ground, but for some reason, they don't work.
Also, I am running a run/turn/brake device on the bike and I also have a load equalizer just in case this makes a difference when it comes to the installation.
What do you folks think I am doing wrong?
Please help!
Thanks,
Roger

Try to PM Clueless he may be able to help OR Mental they know there stuff people dont always see the posts...
I never installed Kury I know of a few who have. I would think you need a separate ground for those new ones and a good power source on each side multi meter also.... Seems to be a ground issue I never got my load EQ to work with my rear LEDS i installed a year ago! I like the rapid flash better IMO

Roger,
The lights should pick up the frame Ground when they are attached to the triple tree clamp.
As for the signals, from my post on how to wire the Raw Blades: Left Side:
* Green to Left Blade Black wires
* Orange (w/o Stripe) to Left Blade Red wires
* Orange w/ White Stripe - No Connect
Right Side:
* Green to Left Blade Black wires
* Blue (w/o Stripe) to Left Blade Red wires
* Blue w/ White Stripe - No Connect
Therefore, Orange w/o a stripe is your left turn signal, Blue w/o a stripe is your right turn signal. Those two colored wires WITH a stripe are the running lights.

Also, as for the run/turn/brake device you have - which one?
Kisan Tech does NOT require a load equalizer ... it's built in (sort of).
Basically, the Kisan Tech SM-3 doesn't care about the load imbalance - it's not designed to flash faster if there's a burnt out bulb.

Alan, first of all, thanks for the reply and help.
The lights that I am having problems with are for the rear turn signals, not the front, with the ones for the front, I don't have an issue with.
The run-turn-brake system I have installed is the "Bakck Off" one and I also changed the relay that was on the bike to the one that Directlineparts sells for the Fury which is the Big Bike LED Flasher relay which have worked perfect all along with the front and rear turn signals when I replaced all stock regular light bulbs to LED light bulbs.
Like I stated, I am connecting the green wire w/red stripe (ground) from the bike's harness to the body of the mini-bullet and the black wire that's on the mini-bullet to the blue wire w/red stripe (turn signal wire) that's on the harness and it doesn't work, unless I'm confused and have the wires mixed up, which I don't think so.

Alan, I coinsidently had a printout of this second attachment you sent me that I read and printed when you first posted it and that's how I know which cable is which, but thank you again.
Joefury, I checked all fuses and they all okay. That's one of the first things I did. P.S. Are you located in Miami by any chance?
I spoke to Kuryakyn about it and they said that it may be a problem with the lights, and they offered to change them under warranty, so I guess I'll re-try again once I received them and see what happens.
I'll post the results.
Thanks every one for your assistance.

Glad to hear it's not on your end.
And, that you weren't wiring up a banana - which might as well have been since Kury. sent you bad product
You could test it all out with some simple LEDs - if you have any. Just sayin' ... before you go thru all that again.
