Default Battery charge indicator

Seeing Gar's little gizmos makes me want to get something that will show the battery voltage/amps in a clean format. It'd be nice to be able to turn on the key and see something showing the battery power from then on until the key is turned off. Would be helpful to see any drain or if the battery wasn't being charged during running time. Any good links to something like this that might fit well on the Fury and not be that noticeable?

Kuryakyn LED battery gauge. $35-$40.

The C-Tek charger has a desulphation cycle that operates during the maintenance cycle during winter storage when most sulphation occurs.
These accessory connectors for the charger let you know your state of charge during the riding season. The information is not comprehensive but the most important.

Looks good Gar, but I'm just wanting something that shows the battery strength, not to charge the battery. I ride mine year round down here....kinda cold at times, but doable. Glad to see you back posting!!!!

Thanks Bob . The problem with voltmeters (and that Kuryakyn looks good) is that a sulphated battery that has diminished capacity can still show a good voltage while the bike is running (and charging). That said, if you pay attention to the cranking voltage a sulphated battery will drop considerably more than than a good battery.

The C-Tek accessory connectors/indicators can be used independently of the charger.
This combo is only 16 bucks with standard SAE connectors ...

Hey Gar, way over my head.... I have the Shorai battery that Tony Fury got. Is gel sulphated?

I like the looks of the kury one, but was also wondering if they had a digital one that would actually give the voltage number.......????????

Ever have a problem with it? Did it foretell a bad/low voltage one?

I've never had a problem with this bike however I had a charging problem with a previous bike. That is what prompted me to install the charging gauge on it. I like the feeling knowing the system is charging properly rather than finding out later after I have shut the bike off and then go to start..
