i am booked for the 3rd and the 4th to stay.

i assume everyone would stay at least one night since its a long ride.

Im still in tentatively but am looking for more specifics. Where and what time is everyone meeting? I'm in Tampa area and not sure how long it will take to get there. 6 hours maybe?

Where is everyone coming from? If we plan to have the northern most guys start first and earlier we could meet others along the way and grow the pack as we go. Timing would be everything but it can be done.

STPeteAPB may be going down already but I think he'll trailer most of the way the day before if I remember correctly. Anyone going from Tampa area or more north that would like to ride down together?

nothing set in stone yet:

but one idea would be to meet near Florida city( where turnpike meets US1)

or Alabama jacks so that those arriving early can just hang out and wait for everyone else, coming from east and west coasts.

then we can all ride down from there.

also Alan mentioned going early on friday which i could make then coming back up saturday for all others that cant go early on friday?


so as more people chime in we will know.

i'll keep more on this post on Active as we get closer.

Sorry - late to the party ...


I still want to go, just need to work out the logistics.

A lot, for me, will be known after Florida plays this weekend AND Nov 12th against S.Carolina. IF they can get John Brantley (JB) back in the saddle, the Gators could very well take the SEC East and wind up in the SEC Championship game (SEC CG) ... though they'll get beat up by Bama or LSU, almost for sure. Then again, who knew Texas Tech would beat Oklahoma?!

IF the Gators make it into the SEC CG, I would head down to the Keys on Friday. Otherwise, I could possibly just head down on Sat. I have to tell ya ... from here, it's a hike - even trailering, as I will.

Alan (TheGoofyOne): Stan (BK Kid) is working on clearing that weekend from his calendar so he can ride, as well. He has a trailer that, I believe, holds three bikes. We can trailer up and go from here to Key Largo (mile marker 102) and ride in from there. I will keep you posted. I am NOT riding the Fury from here all the way to Key West - call me a puss, I does not cares.

JoeFury: In which hotel are you booked?

I still will like to go, but have other things still pending to see how they're going to workout for me. It also has to do with hotel availability, if I'm riding down there, I sure as hell going to want to sleep over from Sat. until Sun. and come back fresh on Sun., but as of now, I have to wait and see.
