Storage Options (bubble or cover)
I have been thinking and planning for storage options for winter time that is quickly approaching. I have done a little research and came across HDs bubble and Zerust storage bags. Does anyone have experience with either of these?
OR
I will have it stored in a shed/garage, but it is not heated or insulated. I am just wanting to make sure I don't have any rusting/corroding going on over winter months. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me have em'. Thanks.

We keep out West Coast Chopper in the exact same bubble. Protects it from dust and keeps people from getting too close/touching it.

I live on the west coast, So. Cal... so we don't really need those... sorry bro.
but I believe my uncle has one for his 56 oval VW... and they are legit!!! kinda pricy arent they?
I would imagine they are good to keep it away from the elements...

i recently ran into the same problem, and here was my solution. I will take pics soon so that you can get the gist of how well this thing works. You can also see the overall function by the picture thru the link. If you go thru the Ebay seller i used you can have the same cover for nearly $125 cheaper then anywhere i found on the net. And the seller is top notch, keeping the lines of communication open and shipping was fast.

same seller that i bought mine thru last week.
this is the same exact cover being sold for far more. By the same i mean even the name is the same as the one being shown.

I had a hell of a time trying to find a place here in NYC that i can store the bike. Every local storage rental wants at least $100 a month. And those plug in bubbles are for indoor storage only. Apparently one was made a couple years ago that was made for the outdoors, but they dont make it any more. Im not sure the risks of using the bubble outdoors, other then the fan may not fare well if its raining or snowing.
As far as storage, i plan on pulling the battery and the seat ( cause its natural leather and i dont want it to freeze and crack ). Im also considering wiping down all the chrome with a WD40 soaked rag. Just to give it that film that should repel any moisture.

well see the bike will be in an enclosed shed, just not insulated or heated. My biggest concerns are in Arkansas the temperatures change drastically and the change in the temp. of the metals on the bike can and will draw moisture, therefore giving possibility for rust to form. We make get down below freezing at night and then reach 60 degrees the next day. Also, the humidity levels in AR are ridiculous and with this thing in a dark storage shed, I am wanting to once again keep out moisture. It is mostly just about corrosion for me, and of course keeping it clean. And what about CarCoon.

We've been using it for the past 2 years and the bike has been out maybe 2 or 3 times. There's no visible sign of rust or corrosion. Keep in mind that it is possible for moisture to get in since there is a constant air flow going in with the fan to keep it inflated.

Chris, I was just looking at this last night online and it was double the price. I need to start thinking of what I am going to do. I am in the same situation as you. No garage I'm considering moving to a warmer climate so I don't have to pay for a bike that I cant ride for 5 months a year.I'm so sick of NYC It's depressing.
Thanks for the link. I may just get this.

The sellers name is Joe. He lives on the Northshore, and will offer a meeting spot here on LI if you want to save on shipping. Joe and i couldnt work out a time that worked for both of us, so he shipped it. I had it 2 days later. Setting it up wasnt that bad, just time consuming. I paid $202 plus $20 to ship. Far cheaper then the $300+ from the big name store.
I should also mention that with the 8* trees pushing the overall length of the bike to 9' this cover works great. I have about 6 inches left on each end. With that empty space i bought 2 50# sand bags from Home Depot to help weigh down the cover from the inside.
