Default Forwards: DLX vs. Accutronix..any input??

Looking at taking the dive into some forward controls and wondering if there's any advantages of 1 brand over the other besides price.....

Both turnkey? Install problems? Customer service?

Any input???

I went with Accutronix. Love em.

The manufacturer is just a phone call away and will help with any issue you have.

Yeah I know......

Both turnkey. No install problems that I know of. Accutronix has better customer service. PERIOD!!
Acutronix is a true 3in forward from the seating position. DLX is not. Regardless of what anyone else says THESE ARE THE FACTS! I have measured them with a tape measure. FROM THE SEATING POSITION.
I have the accutronix and love them. But personally I like the look of the DLX better.
If you are taller then average go with the Accutronix. Average height go with he DLX.

Thanks J,

Now I like the more design options of the Accutronix but like the position of the reservoir better on the DLX.
At 5'9, I was going standard on the Accutronix, don't think I'd like the 3" stretch.

But again thanks for the info...especially the CS part.

I have to disagree. I have seen accutronix on my bike as well and it's not a true 3". More like 5 1/2". I have seen it with a tape measure too.

I'm confused as to why you are suggesting accutronix if you are taller. Wouldn't that mean that they are further than 3"?

I've had my DLX's for about a year and a half now and have had zero issues. Still love them like the day I got them. They are a phone call away too and also have good customer service.

Upon inquiring about a set of Accutronix forwards, I am being told that they do not come with brake lines.

Does this mean that a standard set uses the original line or I'm left looking for the right fit??

Now I was talking with a dealer for Accutronix and got that info....think I'll give Troy a ring for the real answers.

There's a braided SS cable that comes from the master cylinder and connects to your existing line.

What you are crazy have you even dealt with DLX no didn't think so. I know cause Miguel is one hell of a guy. I sent a email that I was having some problems on a of day either saturday night or a sunday and within 10 minutes of sending the email guess who calls my cell phone why it was Miguel. I know you havent dealt with them so I wouldnt say their customer service is better. I am not bashing Troy either im sure his is top notch also but I havent dealt with him!!!!!!!!!!

That's what I thought and have been told by several others. So, I've requested the dealer re-think his answer to me.

thanks Thrifty

CTC6698.

You could try the MFR forwards. For the price they are awesome. He has a set of 2" forwards for sale right now, and at 5'9", they would be a perfect fit. $300. Install in about 30 mintes. PM MyFuryRide if you're interested.

Here's a pic of my MFR Forwards installed. And the second pic with DLX Prodox Pegs on em.
