It would add weight and the cost would be a small fortune. Minimal $1000 to $1500 to replace that plastic parts. Probably More in the range of $2000 or more. It was looked into by others a long time ago but the cost was to high.
First rodeo or not. Changing the head light from plastic to metal is nothing more then a wast of time and money. This is not my opinion. That is exactly what it is. And by the way, doing this does not make it a chopper. Or even put it in the realm of chopper. All it does is make the head light metal. Good luck seeing the blinkers. I cant hardly see mine let alone even notice the ones on my mirrors because they get drowned out by the head light. This does not look safe to me. Cool idea though.
But hey, its your bike and you should do what you want to.

Me thinks I'll keep the light and do mirrors with signals in them! Kills 2 mods with one purchase. Haven't decided yet what to replace the rear ones with ??

Hahaha! Agreed. but we wont be able to find anyone in china to do it.
There was a guy here a while back said he was looking in to it but it was not worth the cost.

I would choose the raw design tail light. I know there is some controversy about the reliability, still it looks great. (Knock on wood, mine are still looking sexy and are ok)

Haven't checked out the raw design but if you could post a pic of it on your bike I can see what it looks like? I like the idea of the signals being part of the brake light ! I noticed MFRs & liked how it cleans up the rear tin.
