The spike looks good. Nice family photo, I'm glad things are looking up for you now.

Hi fury chick, I came across your thread because I've been researching spike air filters. I want to replace the one I have & I really like the one on your bike. Can you give me info one the one you have? Make, model, cost? Imstill dont fully understand all the variety and what exactly what will work and so on.
I just got my bike, haven't even rode it yet, and im hoping to have everything done by the time its nice enough out to ride. Thanks,
Lisa

Really you have to decide what kind of air intake bracket you want, you have Thunder, and L&M and one or two other, just depends on what look you want. Then you have to find the spike that you like, you have D2Moto that sells them pretty cheaply, and then you can find a lot of them on Ebay, depends on what you want to spend on one, with those intake adapters you can just about use any 3 bolt harley davidson spikes, think I paid like $140 for one on Ebay, and paid $180 for the L&M intake adapter. Below is a link to Ebay that has the spikes you want to look for:

Spike: harley davidson spike intake | eBay

Intake adapter: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LOW-AND-MEAN...item4cfd0ccf75

Lisa, she doesn't get on here much anymore. Been having a rough spot. I can get a hold of her and see if she can stop by if not I might be able to get some info for you.

That would be great if u could pass along the info as to what she says about the spike. I just dread having to go through all the research as to size of the dia. & the overall length and variance of the many different choices so I find a good way to approach the whole research is to start asking those that have one I like the look of. Thanks

X_KIOWA_X, Thanks for the info & links. I do know that I want a chrome adapter and spike. I have found a co. That uses a vacuum deposition (type of chrome plating) to chrome fiberglass. With that being said, I can use the L&M for I do like the style of that. I really don't care for the painted silver look. As far as I know the only other option I am aware of as far as adapters go, is to use Thunder Mfg's but I don't like the bracket that hangs down on that one. Some said Accutronix offers one, but I didn't see that on their website. Do u know of other adapter options?

The spike came from Vertex auto in Florida off of Ebay cost around 125.00 I know because I gave it to her. The adapter is from L&M I don't know where she got it.
