Your rite...... I would have paid my $40 admission, a case of beer, a lawn chair, and my rim to sell you. But I guess I would have left drunk, poor and caring a lawn chair and a motorcycle rim.

Check your math and tell you boss; you're worth $120/hr !

Sounds like skilled labor to me No mention of breaking the bead so did you cut it while still tight on the edge of the rim How would you rate the risk factor for future hackers ???

I did cut it while the bead was still seated. I did use a screw driver to use as wedge so as to not gouge the inside of the wheel.

Risk factor ... well like i mentioned you are using a rotory tool with a large cut off wheel. The risk is there that you can take off a finger, no doubt. Will i do the same for the rear when the time comes? Thats hard to say. I did it once just to see if i could. Im still finding tar balls everywhere! LOL I was a little more under pressure this time around as i have been putting off getting the new front tire and see if i can bend the wheel back since Oct. Once that is back on the bike i can go for rides on the days it gets to be 50* here on the Island.
