Did you get the stock triple trees with the bike?

Byber, the original bike owner sold the stock trees when he upgraded to the 8* trees. I love the look bUt it's just too much for me to handle. I'm too new to riding.

Brand new is $650 because the fork extensions come with the trees. The extended brake line is the only thing extra. Are you selling the brake line too?

You might be new to riding(and I'm not trying to nix the sales) but I'm willing to lay money that after you get used to the bike, you will want all this stuff back again. Unless your short, most people would kill to put on this stuff.

That said, I want the trees/extensions and brake cable if it is silver but I'm probably in line behind dave ( damn you dave, go buy elsewhere!)

I thought about whether or not I'd come to regret selling off the items, but the 8* trees make it harder to ride and this is my first street bike. I played on dirt bikes for a few years so I got the basics down but it's still intimidating.
I thought I did my research homework, but Ive come to realize I didn't do it good enough, so I will lower the price a bit to 500 to make it more fair but it will only be the trees & extensions (not including the break line) and yes, it is silver. If I have to replace the break lines I will give you those, but I wont know till I put on the stock trees so it may be a couple weeks before I know. If you are in no hurry to get the trees on your bike and can wait, I will let you know if I ended up replacing the break line w a shorter one. Dave was more interested in the fwd. controls.
On a different note, I bought this bike off Mrbyber who is 6'5" and I'm only 5'3" so when I point my toes, I can just barly get my feet on the pegs so I have to convert them back to standard, but not stock. Too nice to go back to stock.
So if you still want them, let me know, I would like to use PayPal for payment & I will need a few days to get them shipped, probably towards the end of this week, no later than Friday.
Thanks,
Lisa

Hey Lisa you might want to just start with changing out the forward controls first to make the bike fit you before making a decision on the trees, being new to a street bike is gonna feel awkward and different than a dirt bike.
It's kinda the same difference from a street bike to a touring bike, it's intimidating! You kinda adapt until it feels natural which doesn't take long, just take your time. I just installed the 8* trees seems the biggest difference to me it handles a little slower. I'm not trying to change your mind but just something to think about, you can always change the trees if just changing the controls is not enough to suit you. And if you do change the trees get new bearing and races. By all means do what works for you.
And Welcome the family and Enjoy The Ride!

I have posted a picture, but I can take more and e-mail them to you if you'd like. They are still on the bike but will be coming off shortly when I receive the stock trees. Let me know if u want more pics.

Lmtless, I sent you a PM I am interested in the trees and extenders. If you are serious about getting rid of them I made you an offer. If you still need the stock ones I am willing to trade with cash from my end or willing to buy them outright. Get with me

i don't think i could use 3" forwards with my C&C seat, i couldn't reach more than maybe and inch more.

i just changed out my trees and i don't think the bike is any harder to handle than it was with the stock trees.

when you change back to stock trees are you going to have to change the bearings and races also? i would keep whatever brake line you currently have. no reason to change them unless you don't like the look.

if that is the look you are going for, then i say do it, but if you are changing because you think the bike will be easier to handle, i wouldn't waste my time.
