I'd like to see some comparison pics of bikes with the stock tire, what L&M did, and the Sumo-X kit.

Yes, Your correct, the total width of the 240 tire is 220mm on a 7" rim. It fills the back of the bike very nice and looks much better than the stock setup. We have video comparison with the 200, 210, and 240 tire on the stock and 7" rim, but we need a little spare time to finish this up. I can tell you first hand that it doesn't change the ride enough to notice. The radios of the tire is very similar to stock and the bike leans into the turn the same. The only big difference is the overall diameter of the tire lower the rear of the bike 1/4".

I think this is a very good solution if you didn't want to spend the 4-5k on the 250 kit, but if we had the money we would too.

We are still working on a rear fender, air shock, chin scoop, and front fender all at the same time. Lots more coming soon from Low and Mean.

Thanks LM!

I guess the options now are:

210 = ~$200(new tire)
220 = ~$800-900
250 = ~$3-5k

Default Just thinking

Has anyone thought about replacing the swingarm with the sumo-x unit to do the 240 kit if clearance is a issue. It hard for me to spend 4 thousand on the sumo-x kit as well but i really like the fender it cleans up the back of the bike so much . polished swing arm 599.00 rear fender kit 699.00 alot less than 4thousand . just a thought

The problem is the Fury's frame only supports about a 230mm tire at best because the fender support frame rails are too narrow. You'll still need to cut the frame rails and mount a rear fender somehow to get a 240 on. And if you get the modified swingarm you might as well run a full 8.5" wide rear wheel (~$1k).

Default Kosman wheel for 240

Has anyone tried this with the SE black wheel? How about some photos from all that have done this if any have besides L&M.

No one that I know of. It just didn't make sense for the minimum gain achieved, and that was with bulging of the tire, which is not a good thing. Black dosn't matter.

i wouldn't hold my breath on this mod. $800+ for about a 10mm gain? not worth it. You'd still be looking at the big tire bikes with envy. nope. not worth it to me.
