Chris,

Bike looks great...

I noticed you guys have the one inch extender on there with the 8 degree trees. Do you need brake line extensions still if you only use the one inch extension with the 8 degree trees? I have the ABS version and have already had one inch extenders installed and am trying to figure if this combo works without dropping the extra money for new ABS lines. Thanks

Paul

Paul, I just sent you a Email reply, but I will also answer your question here for others with the same interest.
I can not confirm the stock ABS line will be long enough, but from our notes it seems the stock ABS lines should fit with the 8 degree trees and the 1" fork extenders. I would love to give you solid facts but we do not have a ABS bike. Personally I think it will work and you should be fine with the stock lines. We suggest 2" longer line with the 3" extenders. You can test this yourself but putting your bike on a lift, raise the front tire slightly off the ground and measure your slack in the ABS front line. If you think they can be stretch another 40mm you might be fine. You should also know our lowered Spring is highly suggested with the 8 degree trees and the 1" extenders. This setup will allow more trail in the front end which in turn is more stable at high speeds. If you didn't want to use our Lowered Spring then I would stick with the 3" fork extenders that come with the 8 degree trees.
Hope this helps, feel free to contact anytime we would be glad to answer your questions.
Thanks for your interest!
LM

Chris,

Thank You for both replys. I was going to post it up here but you beat me to it.

I am away for business for the next week and a half, but as soon as I return I will measure. I believe I will have the slack to do this. I also have the lowering spring from you guys, so that will help.

You guys are awesome. Thanks for answering the questions in both forms.

Paul

Great looking bike. Will pay your asking price only if the lady is included!!
By the way, take that sticker off the downtubes. Sticks out like a sore thumb. Keep up the good work and hope to see some new stuff from L&M shortly......
