Good on ya mate. I've blinged mine up a bit since the pics on here, added a skull air filter which I had to tape off most of the intake as it was sucking too much air in and some skull mirrors. Not that happy with the wide glide mufflers as they leak a bit so might make up some of my own with a little help from a friend and see what sort of radical look we come up with. Anyway, stay cool and enjoy yer ride will put up some more pics when finished the mods. Cheers Killa
I was in the same boat as you. I bought mine in March 2010. I was also very annoyed with Honda when they lowered the price
But I'm going to keep mine until I cant ride anymore
Cheers Dave.
Hey Dave, things are great here how about you? I think they're definitely going to stop importing as I haven't seen any new advertising in any of the kiwi bike mags. They knocked 10k off the original buy price about 12 months after I brought mine in Feb 2010, really pissed me off mate. I was looking at a HD72 model last week as you do and asked the sales guy to price my bike as a trade in, the wanker offered me somewhere between 8 and 9k which was about when I told him to fuck off. Anyway I'm keeping my Fury which incidentally I wouldn't trade for any HD. Stay shiny side up mate. Cheers
Killa
Hi, how are things going? As you are the only Fury owner I know in New Zealand, can I ask is honda still selling the Fury there or are there plans to stop importing them like they have done in Europe, our latest member of the "Euopean Fury Riders" group lives in Portugal his local honda dealer searched Europe for a black ABS model, but could not find one, so he's buying a blue one which could be one of the last to be sold in this part of the world...
Cheers Dave.
Hi,nice blue Fury,it's the best colour.Interesting backrest you have on her, mine's set up for solo riding now
Cheers Dave.
P.S. I'll put you on my friends list...
Thanx Taz will be interesting to hear and see what others are doing to personalise their bikes. So far I've rebuilt the pillion seat and incorporated a sissy bar of my own design. Had to adapt those parts for my partner (who loves it) also adapted some harley wideglide mufflers to fit existing pipes but drilled a 25cm hole down the guts of them. Sounds awesome, better than any of the after market pipes I've heard so far. Recently fitted some risers that I imported from Scootworks in the states and they are perfect. A much better riding position and better handling. Will get some pics of my bike up soon as I work all this out. Cheers for the welcome Taz, love the old guys rule. All the best, Killa
