It is a 215/45 18. General G max. I really like the tread pattern on it as well. You can get more information here. Riding on the Darkside. I am DarkFury on that message board.
I apologize, I just now read your message about the Big Shot. Yes, I was able to get the slipping to stop. Come to find out, I didn't have the brackets in the right slot. Once I adjusted them, it was really tight and didn't slip at all. I made a trip to Dragon's Tall last Fall. On I-20 coming back from Atlanta, we were doing close to 80mph and it never moved! I really like the height it blocks a lot of wind. I can just see over the top and I am 6ft tall. Yes, I do get the solar shield and it looks great IMO. I thought I would only keep it on for long rides, but I have never took it off. I have been to a few bike rallies and received a lot of compliments on it.
Hi......its kind of hard to find. Type in Clamp Cover and it should pull it up. Here's the part # PART NO: CU01321 $64.95 + Shipping. It took me all of 5 minutes to install and has a nice mirror finish. Well worth it to cover the ugly casting. They should be in stock. Got mine really fast.
Yes 5/8 is good, I usually use a 16mm deep tho, I also use a mag pickup tool to get them out, and a piece of fuel line, stick the plug tip in the hose and use that to guide and then screw the 2 deep ones in, finish off with the socket. You can't cross thread a plug if you use a hose instead of a socket and ratchet to start. I also use anti seize on the threads when I do plugs, very small amount. (An old time mechanic that comes into the shop gave me a spark plug end off a HEI ignition, the really long ones, to use instead of the hose, it works really well too.
You are welcome. I also change the rear end fluid each time I change the oil. Doesn't take 5 minutes and only holds 4 oz. Also use Mobil Syntheric gear oil for that. Overkill? Probably, but while the oil is draining, why not? Like those gears to have clean fluid!!
