Greetings from Kansas....sort of...
So here's a little story....
I've been looking at the Fury's since late '09 - early '10. I absolutely fell in love with the lines and the overall look of the bike. At this point, I'm sitting in Korea and make up my mind that I'm picking one up once I get back stateside. I get back in June of 2010 and end up getting ready to head back to the sandbox in Oct with a month long trip to Ft. Polk in Aug. My wife is due in Sept and she's all about me getting a bike. Unfortunately, the weather is starting to get wet and we live about 40 miles away from Ft. Riley. I end up holding off on the bike due to the quickly changing weather and pending deployment figuring I don't want to get 2-3 weeks of riding in before the bike is stored for a year+. I get back from Iraq in Nov and the weather is still crappy and I end up getting sent to Ft. Lee, Va for some training.
Anyhow, I say all that to say that the wait is almost over! I found a Fury on the forum here up in the D.C. area and went up this weekend to take a look at it. Took it for a test drive and what can I say.....I was like a kid in a candy store! I loved it! We worked out the details of the sale and I'm heading back up there this weekend to pick it up. I have the pleasure of a good 100+ mile ride to get it back down here before I ship it to Kansas. I didn't want to pop on here until it was a done deal and I figure since the bank is cutting the check now....it's a done deal!
Glad to be here and so far the forum has been an incredible resource for me. The bike isn't the color I was looking for but has some of the major mods I would have done and is nothing that a little paint can't correct. I'm looking forward to the ride!! Take care and ride safe, Brothers!!

Welcome Ammo, Congrats on the bike.. And thank you for your service!
I was born in Topeka Kansas in 1964 and it's been about that long since I've been there. My Dad served in the Air Force in Kansas.
Enjoy The Ride!
