Hi!
I purchased a white Fury on July 29th. I have been lurking here for a while so I decided to register.
I am new to riding motorcycles so I am having a lot of fun making silly beginner mistakes. The Fury seems pretty friendly so far although maneuvering at slow speeds is a bit interesting. I bought the "Ride Like a Pro" DVD a few days ago and I am trying to practice some of that stuff in a local parking lot. Right now I am practicing/riding about 40 miles a day although it has been kind of hot here. There are some nice twisty country roads in my area.
I have not done any cool mods yet but I have dynamic balancing beads, a service manual and a clutch pull reducer on order. I did take off the passenger pegs and rear seat and all of the stickers and reflectors. I also installed a solo seat fender thing today. The seat is a bit uncomfortable so I am investigating a replacement and I would also like to make the exhaust a little louder and deeper.
I think it is awesome to not have to conform to what other people want me to do. The bike and the whole experience thus far has been very refreshing.
Anyways, I have learned a lot here and I hope to learn more! And make new friends!
