Sounds like pneumonia to me, especially if you were talking to him 8 to 12 hours before. When I had pneumonia I went from feeling not well at lunchtime and making an appointment to see the doctor the following day to coughing up blood and thinking I am dyeing 12 hours later. I was rushed to intensive care at the local hospital. The doctors told me if I had been a smoker I would be dead. So we all have to pray for mental, this sort of thing is very serious.

Mental was one of my very first friends on this forum and a mentor for sure. My prayers and thoughts are with him for a speedy recovery. Please keep us posted.

Sounds like what happened to me three winters ago; thought I was done for. And I'm a smoker............
