Night of Silence or Rejoice in Memories
It may be my Irish heritage but I think we should share our experiences that we have of Shorty Steve. The world lost a good man today. He is gone, but his memories will not soon be forgotten. I have never met the man, but as I said in a previous thread, I always enjoyed his antics on the forum. We all grieve a little differently, but I have had my moment of respectful silence and would like for us to share some moments that some of you that were lucky enough to meet Steve in person, or just messages, come forth and tell a story about him. I have already tipped a few in his honor and will tip a few more to his memory.

I had the great privilege to meet him at the Dragon rally...He was a great rider and between him and Easy E took the initiative to lead the group through the stream and dangerous Dragon's Tail very safely and enjoyable so we all could brag of Dragon tamers, on another note he design my speedo face witch I will cherish for ever in his memory.
Just as his forum name he was not very tall, but people like him you don't measure from the head to the ground but from his head up.
God bless my friend...RIP

Pablo posted exactly what I was going to say ...
How cool was Steve ... a seasoned rider who could've easily wanted to run The Dragon at a faster pace but, instead, chose to run it at a snail's pace for noobies like me to be able to make it up and back with all of my body parts where they started at day's beginning.
I only met Steve on this ride and, yet, I feel I've lost a friend from a long time ago. I am so very sad ... what must his closest friends and relatives be going thru?
May time and good stories of Steve Palmer help his family heal soon from this tragedy.

When I started playing with the exhaust's Steve jumped right in and photo shopped so many pipes for me to look at, some were only shared between him and I. He pdf'ed the dog bones for me on 2woofs pipes and when the shop couldn't use it in pdf he had another program version in minutes for me. we talked a lot on the phone and messages. At the Dragon was an honor to meet him. I will say it was an honor to meet all.
And I know that behinds the scenes with patches and t-shirts he worked his ass off for all of us.
Rest my friend.

I followed Steve's posts on the forum often. He was always coming up with new ideas for the Fury. He loved that "blue bagger" so much. Was always willing to help others before himself. Though small in statue, his heart was huge. Always wore that leather jacket no matter how hot outside. Met him at the Dragon run and he was all that I expected. He was a professional motorcycle rider that could ride with the best. I met Steve just once, but he became a friend for life. A life that ended much too soon. I miss you Steve. Rest in peace.....

Steve always impressed me with his ability to think of something, make it happen and then share it with the forum without boasting about what he had done. His words and talents I will miss...
