I would have waited until I had a widened rim since with the stock rim you are only gaining a ½" of tire width

Needed a tire. Wanted to try the 240. Got a deal on the 240 so I went for it. Im not a huge risk taker nor am I opposed to risk. If I had not seen scores of guys running the 240 with no issues, I would have stuck to the 200.

If I have any funny issues Ill switch back.

I thought you were grilling me about my choice. I am aware that the tire is not an exact fit but I am good with it. Dont want to catch a bunch of grief about it.

(Had a really crappy day today and its cold outside....im cranky)

Mission accomplished!.......almost. ...

Objective-
Modify damaged factory tank to allow user to drive at least 186 miles on a single tank.

Prelim result-
Drove 160 miles today with no sign of a low fuel light.... should get about 30 miles left once the light comes on.

What next-
Keep driving until I get a low fuel light to get a reasonable idea of what kind of range I will get realistically. It is raining now so I cannot finish my test.

So far so good.

Hope you are carrying a spare supply of gas just in case the light doesn't operate as expected
