Steering Lock Dilemma

Just bought a brand new Fury today. Drove 175 one way for the best deal.
Got it home and realized that I didn't get the steering lock key from the dealer.
Called and was told they don't have it, it's lost or they never had it or some BS.
Anyway, couple possible solutions.

1. Let them order a new lock assembly and haul the bike for the 350 mile round trip and wait the couple hours for them to change it.
OR
2. They offered to send me the assembly so i could change it. I am good with tools but have never done a lock like this before.
OR
3. Take the bike to local locksmith to see if they can make a key. Can a locksmith do this?

Thank You for any help!

Bah, get them to change it... and while they are at it, have them do the first oil change and check up for free as well, that is just shady....!

Probably: best if dealer contacts Honda to get the key code for your bike! Then it is a simple key cut!

Key code only works for ignition key not steering lock

Garage
I don't see how they could have "lost" two steering lock keys.
Sounds like BS to me but anyway I would have a chat with a locksmith who does automotive locks and see if he can key the steering lock to work with the ignition key. That steering lock key is a crappy little thing that bends easily anyway.

Let us know how you get on.

I can find out on Monday which blank it would take for a locksmith to make it. I am a locksmith but I dont recognize this blank. My boss is better at these small keys then me. With the right blank it is possible to make it. I dont know how easy it would be doesnt look to hard.

You can not key it to match the ignition. The steering lock is single sided and the ignition is double sided. The key wont even fit the hole.

The key milling looks like a B1 which is a pretty common key so it might be easy. I would still demand the dealer reimburse you for any locksmith fees if you go that route.
