Today I entered my bike in a show at the biggest motorcycle event Salem Oregon has ever had. There were 11 different classes (mostly for Harleys), and my bike won Best Honda.

Tommorow on the final day of the three day event, my bike will be involved in the Best of Show contest (I don't expect to place, since this is a Harley crowd and Harley bikes).

Here are two more photos from today:

It was born a VTX 1800 R, I kept some of the R stuff, and mixed in some C stuff, and a bunch of custom stuff. I was shooting for a mixture of a sport bike and a cruiser - along with some classy classic.

Was blessed to win Best Custom Metric in it's first show, and now Best Honda in second. I am hooked up with a custom fabricator and have some plans for a couple more improvements, but not sure how much more I plan on showing. I'm grateful for what the bike has won to this point, but it is much easier to attend than to participate, and I want to spend more time sitting around watching other people.
