Hey all,

A quick note to say that I took my Fury out for a 3 day ride over the 4th to see how it'd be doing the distance on it. Not bad really ! The seat, while not plush, didn't burn. The wind blast was directed to above the collar bone and to the outer arms and wasn't a ride killer (forget about what those Motorcyclist magazine guys said recently about how they couldn't handle the discomfort and gave up on their planned evaluation ride). The only downer was getting my first paint chip on the upper right front of the frame :-( I'll be going to the dealer to order some touch up paint soon.

It's just fine. I have the Medium which is fine for around town. A Large or XL would be better for the overnighter thing. No biggie, I just lashed an extra duffel on top of the Biker's Friend (as you can see in the picture). Having the Biker's Friend double (triple ?) as a backrest really made a difference in improving the long haul comfort !

Trip

Good to know that the Fury likes to take trips..... I am trading in my 1999 Yamaha Venture (aka "the couch") for 2010 Matte Gray. My Venture has almost unlimited storage space, going to miss her.. Def going to have to get some luggage....

in Europe, BMW have excellent waterproof bags for motorcycle, something like more 100 euros...
