I'm going to try to make this one. I am a 22 year veteran and can not think of a better place to spend $ Anyone else in the Columbia SC area thinking of going?

This sounds like a fun outing. Like one of those runs - good to support, and one ya gotta do at some point in your life so you can say you did it. Who is local there that's doing the run? Alann you're close ish? Who else?

What other DelMarVA folks might go?

Do peeps go fast on this tail? or how does it go?

I would love to do this, but I am already booked to be there a few weeks later...in my car. Too far of a drive to make more than once or twice a year.

20-25mph probably max on the Fury... I rode it a few weeks ago while on vacation in the mountains but I was behind my buddy on his ultra classic (I thought he was going to burn his brakes up before we made it to the bottom... Lol) I hit my brakes 3 times on the way down (because he slowed down too much) downshifting is your friend... Ride in a lower gear than you normally would so all you have to do is let off the throttle to slow down... I drive a truck for a living, can you tell... Lol

I will try and make this. I need to make sure I haven't already dedicated that weekend, but if not, I'll get R done.
Anyone from MD interested?

I would love to do this. Have to check the calendar, but it shouldn't be too bad from Northern DE!

This ride is escorted by the local Sheriff's Office in order to control the pace for everyone to feel comfortable to Ride the Dragon and to slow those that can be impatient and cause issues for other riders. Its probably the safest way to ride the tail of the dragon.

Places to stay are listed on the event site The Dragon Run 2015. A lot of times forum members will try to all stay at the same location.

Please feel free to email the event staff through the contact information on the contact page of the event site as I'm not on this forum on a daily bases.

Hope to see a lot of Furys at this years event!
