I started a project that I am going to document the progress here on the forum. There has been a lot of talk about wishing the Fury tank was bigger. Here is the start. I have always loved the old 70s coffin tank, but love the lines of the Fury tank also. I'm attempting to combine the two styles into a 5 Gallon version. Here is the first stage. My intention is a bolt on swap with no mods needed and a flush mount pop up cap.

i cant bothered to read back 4 bloody pages .. and im sure to guess that it comes away to bashing women again ? ..
and not much to do about that mess of a tank ? .. ok im drunk and gotta lay down

There was some woman bashing, but that poor guy with the tank absolutely got worn out. I don't think he has been back since.

Yeah, he did get a bit dogged on. It wasn't the prettiest tank in the world, but I gotta say the effort was commendable.. Not everyone can make pretty and sterile TIG welds. I know I can't without more practice...

Def didn't think the $500 asking price was great, though... Not for somebody's project/first attempt.

Definitely worth it. Just visited that thread and it was hilarious. ...As long as you're not sensitive, but I don't imagine that's an issue. LOL

no, not worth $500 .. but i cant fault a fella willing to make an attempt at a custom bike

Holy crap I don't know how I missed this thread. I would LOVE to see an update on this...although the Fury tank is a beaut in original form, I could easily be persuaded to purchase this 5 gal. I know it wouldn't be cheap then it needs paint but damn that thing was looking GOOD.

Hey @Furi15 would this clear the stock bars if installed? Ie if the bars turned and hit the stop it wouldn't hit the tank? Or would risers be mandatory? Also a pop up fuel cap would be phenominal, since we can't find anything off the shelf for these Honda's...

Yeah, my plan is a deeper tunnel so I don't have to go up much higher than the stock. It's about 4. wider and 3. deeper or lower

Awesome, will be watching. 2" per side width wise I don't think will really be that noticeable. but it sure would help with extended rides. Planning on retaining the OEM low fuel sensor too?
