I'm new to the Fury. I just bought it in November and love it. I figured I would get to know her a little better in the off season and was taking apart some things that I knew I could easily put back together. Messed with the rear suspension adjustment, changed the oil (the first one, felt great to get that done.), looked under the seat. When I took the seat off, got my fill of the stuff underneath, I put it back on and it felt loose. Even made a squeaking sound when I sat on it.

Took the seat back off and readjusted it to fit snug and the holes didn't match up anymore. Has anyone else encountered this? And if so, what am I doing wrong?

Any help would be appreciated.

First of all Welcome to our group.:) Are you getting the two little hooks in the front right? Not sure how you could really get it wrong and still be able to bolt it back down.
I was thinking the same thing. The seat only goes on one way so.... The hooks are under the reinforcement bars, right where they are supposed to be. If I shift the seat forward (without bolting anything) it feels snug and secure. When I check the bolt hole alignment it's off by almost a quarter inch.

If I understand you right, I would slide it back a 1/4 inch and bolt it back on. Maybe you didn't notice how loose it was to begin with. As for the squeking, not sure, maybe it will go away. Probably not the answer your looking for, but if someone else has any idea's they will post up.

That's what I did and I'm thinking I may NOT have noticed it before and I'm just being anal. She is my baby and all. Maybe I'll get some foam rubber tape and put it on the hooks to get a more snug feel.

Exact same thing happened when I put the seat back for the first time...

I noticed how loose it was and then noticed the movement and a squeak. It was always that way but I assumed it was built tighter.

Mine was that way as well. I put a peice of foam at the front where the seat touches the tank and wrapped tape around the 2 front prongs, worked for me. Just play with it using something in the front and the squeak will stop, at least mine did.

Just in case you put it on backwards... I did something like that the first time I put the seat back together, had to go over to the Honda dealership to look at the other Fury's there to make sure I put on the seat side rubber on correctly... Yep, loose seat...same thing here. That rear seat if what pisses me off. I can almost never get everything to line up correctly, and it's a real bitch for me to get the damn screws in. If I ever take it off again, it's staying off. Unfortunately I like the way it looks on that oversized, big ass rear fender.

My seat does the same thing...Squeeky and kind of loose and I haven't taken it off. I did take off the passenger seat and when I put it back on the screw on the left side is crazy tight..It won't go in any further......I'm just going to order the C&C fastback and remedy that situation real quick!

Thanks everyone. You've all helped me make a decision. The C&C fastback, just need to figure out the stitch pattern and what to do about that dumb hole in the fender. Anyone know if the "luggage rack" still fits with the C&C?

Which dumb hole? the Fastback covers it up as it is a double decker...? Or did I miss something?
