Hello,
I am new to the forum and riding.
I just bought my fury a week ago and I am hooked for life! I have only put about 70 miles on my bike and noticed a knock or ping in the lower part of the bike that seemed to slowly develope.
Is this part of breaking it in? I am going to take it in but I am also trying to learn every thing I can about my bike so I thought I would ask if anyone else had this happen
Thanks,
Mr byber.

What gas are you using... have you checked the tools underneath the key ignition to make sure they aren't loose... is it engine related or sound like a part of the bike, could it be the engine cover? It's all in the details, yes... we a lot of us have had little things happen, just need to know the details....

Thanks for the reply,
It is engine related.
Gas is still from the dealer. All fluid (oil, coolant) levels are full. I have not got on the throttle (yet) or hit a higher than normal rpm. Maby that's the problem?

I just bought my fury last weekend and it has 65 miles on it, it was smooth as silk when I first got it, in the last day or too the knocking sound from the bottom of the motor area was horrible when I started it cold and still audible warm, I'll take it in tomorrow unless there are other suggestions and this is normal.

These are noisy engines, probably normal sounds, ask the dealer, may have to do with the engine warming up, check the oil and ask the service rep at the dealer.
Probably put 92 octane in... dealers are STUPID.....

In God we trust; In Hondas; In Clueless we trust! Enough Said!:D And a big WELCOME to ya!;)
No God... sorry, first openly assertive notion to this on the forums besides the Flying Spaghetti Monster comment... Seriously mental... I know you like to study the facts, so let's figure this one out... does one see or does one do; does one believe or does one believe the facts...

Maybe I have been up to long, but I don't understand your point, with all due respect, I posted my post 2 weeks ago, after Clueless posted, and I feel he gave good sound advice, probably normal warming up sounds, and noisy engine. Check the fluids and ask dealer rep. I found that to be sound advice, from a Honda mechanic, who I trust to give good advice. But RED for us to diagnose engine noise over the computer, with limited information? Seems Clueless advice was sound!:)----------------------
1. I saw and heard, and did 2nd Cluelesses advice.
2. I believe he is hearing engine noise, and I believe in Cluelesses response
3. So my only problem is, you are not sharing the bong!
4. Flying Cookie Monster, I am completely CLUELESS about that one!
5. Good Night Red. Sweet Dreams!
