Hi guys,
Had my 1000km service and asked the mechanic to adjust the ideling down. He was running high even after warm up. Now He is running to low and into a rithim - up and down. My Hubby likes it, but it is not rideable for for me. Please help, how can he adjust the idle a little bit up?

Went into my dealer to get the idle adjusted down. The Honda Rep was there at the time and stated that it couldn't be done! :(

The ECU, he said, could not be re-mapped???? If any of you have taken to your dealer and they have been able to adjust the idle, I sure would like to know how they did it so I can enlighten my dealer.

Felt like a bit of a fool went I told him that some have had their dealer do that adjustment and the Rep said..."No Way!"

Maybe a dumb question here, but if you have a fuel controller, like the Fi2000r, and you adjust the lowest pot setting, will this affect your idle, or does this only affect performance at lower speeds in lower gears? I have not adjusted it yet to see if there's any difference.

I have the FI2000r and have adjusted the lowest pot but no noticable idle difference especially at start up.

Same controller i moved one click up on lowest pot to get rid of a slight stumble on accel. run's great now
Aha.....that's what I was actually wondering! I've even killed mine lately a couple of times at stop lights because of that stumble. Embarrasing as hell to have to sit there and restart the bike. Thanks Dawg. I will try that on mine.

My 2.8 cents....... the dealer adjusted my idle up when i was concerned about what sounded like a rod knock noise. they said idle was to low (didn't make noise go away either)........

My Fury is all stock as far as fuel controller/computer/exhaust. I have had a problem with the bike stalling on take off, especially after I have gotten off of a highway and sat at a light for a minute or two. When I go to take off, it just shuts off unless I slowly clean it out a little before I move forward. Then, after it shuts off, it has the dead battery sound when I push the ignition button. It always starts back up but only after I push the button 2 or 3 times to get it to crank over. I was told by the dealer that there is no adjustment on the fuel injection. They changed plugs but it didn't help. This is a real pain and makes Honda look bad. Anyone else having this same issue?

So where do you have it set now? I currently have mine at 1-2-1, and everything is working perfectly. One caveat, I'm at 4800 MSL (if that matters).

Cheers

Sounds like you are having either battery issues or possibly a charging issue. I noticed that you bought the bike used. Do you have anything wired up to the battery that would cause a slow drain? I cant imagine any other reason that the bike wouldnt start right back up.
