I have to agree with that. Way too much money. I really would like to buy Cobra's new breather though. I guess you can go ahead and order those, right?
I called my dealer after this post, and asked him to get me a breakdown of what aftermarket air breathers they had to order that wouldnt require a whole lot of performance mods to make it work right,,I like the looks of that hypercharger but dont know if I want to get it tuned all the time,,so Im not sure if im gonna do this seeing the bike is running perfect why mess with it cause something looks cool,,and costs as much as my seat did,,lmao:D moving on,,

Cobra's breather "kinda" resembles that hypercharger a little, (ok maybe not), but it's just an air breather and from what I've heard is half the price of course. I really want one. Oh, and I think it comes in black as well, but I'd rather have the chrome.

Someone on here had posted a link, (which I don't know how to do). Maybe someone else can do that for you. Anyway, I had heard this breather is around $250.00 and it comes with everything you need so I don't think you need to get an adaptor to mount it.

Yea... I've always liked the spike, but was going to go with a Hyper-charger actually as my first choice and actually bought one... but the one bought had the wrong hole pattern for the L&M adapter or any other adapter that is make for our bike actually ...

Lol, so... sold it to my friend and bought the spike. Glad I did too, cause the Hyper-charger seemed like it wasn't as big on this bike as it seems on other bikes... might be because of the big gap in our A frame or something, but ... that was just my personal thoughts of the matter...

So, Yes, was going to go with the Hyper-Charger look at first, just didn't fit the look that I was going for (tribal/spike). The spike just matches my theme better, specially with those slotted holes in it... (Thanks Sea Dawg on the compliment)

**Oh, still have a pick of that air cleaner mounted 45' degree's off if anybody wants to see it, don't really go showing it off as it wasn't my best highlight of my modding abilities and ebay picking processes... lol**

As some of you can tell, I have been trying to take my bike a different direction. I know “to each his own”, I decided I wanted to go for more of a custom look and not go with the different themes. I liked the D&M and think they really look cool and almost went that direction. I decided to go with the Fuggin 90 degree intake because it breaks things up a bit and doesn’t blend in. At first I didn’t like the powder coat adaptor, but now, it seems to make the intake stand out on its own and give it more of the custom look. RSS did send me a link for some chrome covers to go over the filter if I decided to go for a different look. Stonewheel also helped with the decision, sometimes I have brain freezes when trying to put my concepts together. This picture does not do the intake justice. Just my opinion.

Richard, I am becoming more and more envious!!

What a great looking bike! Also like the air cleaner but personally not going that direction. Also, the black adapter cover looks wayyyy better than I thought it would.

Ditto. I was kinda underwhelmed when the first pics of the Accutronix throttlebody cover showed up on fuggin's website, but when I finally found some pics mounted on bikes in Accutronix' website gallery section, I realized I really liked the effect.

I remember Troy's stated comments in this forum a month or back that his intent was to cover the clutter between the two jugs but not necessarily draw attention to the throttlebody cover itself. Or words to that effect. I think he really did a great job with this one. It really makes the jugs stand out; somewhat the quintessential effect of a good looking big V-twin motor.

One other thing I like - this is a very little thing, but it pleases me to see when I look at the bike - it accentuates the braided cables as they disappear down into the tb cover. Like I say, a little thing but the sum total of a buncha cool little things is a big cool bike :)

In a word--NO. The Fuggin 90 is the air cleaner and elbow. You still have to have the adapter from Accutronix or L&M.

But, Fuggin has the 'Package' that includes all you need for that setup.

The fuggin 90degree is that the adapter ? And if it is i could mount the spike on it ??
The adaptor itself is the chromed ring-looking thing at the base of the 90 degree curved elbow of the fuggin' air intake, and includes the black powder-coat strut coming out from the bottom and bolting on for support down towards the base of the v-twin. the black powdercoat metal surface going back from the chrome ring is the throttlebody cover; a separate item.

Far as I know the adaptor will mount any harley style spike; or the vast majority of which yours is undoubtedly one.

Accutronix

click on adapter pic on fuggin' website to see it more clearly.

P.S. wrote this just before Painter posted; but I'll leave it as a slightly more elaborate answer that says the same thing :)
