When my bike came back from its last service the dealers mechanic put 43 Front and 48 Rear. The ride was nasty, like riding a hard tail. I put it back to factory spec and it rides fine now.
Yea, I rode it at stock for the first 3 or 4 thousand miles, then switched over to the 44, 44... found it left the back tire less squishy and didn't give that floaty feeling that you get around corners... that is why I switched at least, learned that from the VTX forums.

Did your braking distance double?

Cheers
