Anarchist Customs Fury build

4005 Views 70 Replies 17 Participants Last post by  todds87ss
Figured I start a new post to chronicle my adventures of building this awesome bike. I was fortunate enough to get a steal of a price ($2500) on a 2014 with a little over 7000 miles. Of course, at that price, it needs a few things. I love customizing tho and even brand my bikes with my logo and moniker of Anarchist Customs. So I'll try to post pics as I go and this, fortunately, should be a rather quick build. Already a good portion underway!!! Hope yall enjoy

So, as anticipated, ended up doing more painting. Also located some old but still in good shape VW exhaust tips that are the perfect size. So bye bye Cobra slip ons and hell straight pipes. Was looking and thought it could use more white. So brought the engine head covers in and painted em up. White with the red and turquoise splatter with just a touch of teal flake. Workin on getting mounting completely figured out to remove the exhaust mounting arm and get this puppy on the roads. Almost there and can't wait! View attachment 243879

They came to arrest him for not masking his fork tubes when he sprayed the lowers
I did, I swear, I just forgot to tape index cards to cover them higher. 🤣 a lil light brillo scrub will fix it tho

So, just buttoning up lil odds and ends right now. Picked up some tint spray and hit the turn signal lenses. Also painted up some brackets that I decided would work for the exhaust for now (still unsure whether I'll buy an aftermarket or not yet lol) and got that all mounted today. Gonna wait on the light kit install til I get the back tire most likely. It's not so much laziness, it's the itch to ride lol. Hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow so I can take it out and throw up some pics outside my disastrous work space of a garage... fingers crossed!

So, damn gas cap is broken lmao. Of course it would be, had to drill it out to get it off, but finally took it out for a ride! Worked out a few kinks to get it on the road, but man is she a fun bike! Didn't do a ton on account of no gas cap, but the new one will be here tomorrow. Promise I'll get more pics then cuz I need to wash and wax her up too. But, I snapped this gem at the park by the house...

Looks better outside !!!
Much better, and tomorrow after a bath and my super secret chrome cleaning formula that will have it all shined up (like I scrubbed and polished it all for hours) in under 10 mins for the whole bike, it'll look really good. She just needed out of that dreary old garage to show out a bit.

I've been waiting for yall to chime in! 😁

It's simple, get a spray bottle and mix half distilled white vinegar, half water.

Wet a microfiber clothe and kinda buff on (or just wipe down good with a bit of pressure) and wipe off with a clean dry microfiber towel.

My uncle put me up on it, it actually works amazing! People are always blown away and ask how I get my chrome to shine so much. I never liked chrome because keeping it polished took forever and was a ton of work. I complained to my Uncle Tad about that one day because his harley is covered in chrome. I told him I'd never have the patience. He told me to try that, he learned it from people who do it on their boats. Here's a couple pics of my other bike, both a couple days after being cleaned.

And on a day when you are feeling "not so fresh", you can...well, you know.

Once a season I polish all the chrome with master formula metal gloss to protect it. Then its just the occasional spritz and microfiber wipe with xtreme gloss all over the paint and chrome.
