So, I am on the Metricfats website about to drop some dough. When I go to enter my credit card information I notice there is not a lock on my browser. So I was like is this a secure site? So, I clicked their email address to ask them, but they haven't gotten back with me yet. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed it? I meet some of the Metricfats cats at Delmarva Bike week (I still got their card), so I went so far as to call them to find out, but no one answered the sales line. Somebody let me know something...?

Hmmmm...I ordered something from them a while ago and didn't have any problems, but I'd wait if I were you.

They do not have a TLS/SSL (Secured Socket Layer) e-commerce connection. Encryption basically
I refuse to utilize any site that does not have a TLS/SSL.
Your credit card data can be compromised without encryption.
I spoke to them about 6 months ago and they said they were revising their website then....

Your best move is to call them on the phone and place you order. Justin is normally the one handling the orders.

RAW Designs no-no...

This definitely needs to be done RAW DESIGNS... Either adapt the website to include a secure web page for purchasing or hire somebody to do it for you... Whoever designed that page, needs to read the book for HTML or XHTML coding and do it right the first time.

This is why I have not purchased anything from them since I purchased the swing arm cover. RAW Designs do sell there stuff on other websites, it's just easier to go dealer direct. If any of you would like another website or other websites to shop at, I will try and help you track down another website to deal with or try to give you alternatives. (Figure if I mention their name enough in a post, they will eventually see this post...)

No need to even mention our name once. Just give me a call or drop an email to me directly at the address that's always in my signature. I welcome constructive criticism and comments. It's a big help in making sure we take care of you guys (& gals).
I'm well aware of this issue and the resolution has been part of our planned new website launch for 6-8 months. Problem is my "designer" has been telling me "next week" for almost as long. Believe me, if my arms were long enough to reach coast to coast I would have strangled them by now.
So....the short answer for now is to just call in your order if you are uncomfortable. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yeah, all I wanted was an explanation, and that seems to work. I'll either give you a email or call.
