Anybody order...

Did anybody order the new L&M fork extenders yet? Just kind of curious if/when we are going to see these on the bikes... Interested to see what kind of a difference they make on peoples bikes... Was looking to see if the front fender was ready yet and ran across them on their website...

Honda Fury Front End

Link if you don't want to look through their website... Wonder if they are going to make a shaft drive cover like they have for the other bike on there for the Fury too...?

This product fits Honda Fury and 1300 Custom Line.

But the 1300 Custom line has different sized forks than the Fury.

Yea... see that too.. interesting, didn't read that part... Ours, 45mm... Custom line 41mm...
I also think they are overpriced. VTX 2" extensions sell for about $65.

Supply and demand or price gouging...you decide.
I also think they are overpriced. VTX 2" extensions sell for about $70.
Yea, but they have been around for awhile and have recouped some of their R&D loses (were they 70$ when they first came out? I don't honestly know)... Prices will hopefully go down in the future... Also, once you get them on (VTX 2")... you can see that crease kind of, but whatever... This would be a great thread to voice complaints or acclamations towards this particular product...

1" extensions for the VTX would even be cheaper! To the best of my knowledge they have always been priced that way even when the first came out.

BTW, the material cost for two pieces of 3" diameter aluminum 6061-T6 2" long is roughly $8 (retail). So all your paying for is labor.

Hmmm, thanks for looking up the info on that... Didn't look for the pricing of the metal...

Then again, I did pay 89$ for my Accutronix fork nuts and they use about the same amount of material, wonder if it's because of the Fury, or something else... (but, I do love my fork nuts, so there is the counter balance) Seems to be universal towards this bike though...
Again, hopefully the prices will come down after they/everybody recoup some losses. ............

James, I have a set coming and I think they should be here today.

The Accutronix fork nuts have tons more machine work done it on it and they are chrome plated!!! I absolutely think they are worth $90...the fork extensions I do not.

I can see your point about it... guess time will tell... Again, hopefully the price comes down here soon.
I think your right about overpriced, then again I think just about everything is.
I got mine Friday. Was busy all weekend so I didn't get a chance to install them. Maybe this afternoon.
If you guys really want to drive prices down you need to get other manufacturers in the mix.

No Fury you are right and I don't have any defense other than the fact I'm a real parts whore. They are probably going to sit in the spare parts pile in a week or two anyways. I already have a set of the scootworks risers that I'm not going to install along with a many more parts. I am a sick man!

Dave, my friend, you need some serious help. Since you like to buy bike parts that you never use, why don't you just buy one of those C&C Fastback seats and have it shipped straight to my house? Shall I PM you my address? Hey, I'm sure you've wasted more money than that on that big pile of other bike parts, right? :D

LMAO... I'm the same way Dave. I too have a set of risers I don't plan on installing and I'm now on my 3rd set of mirrors. Fourth if you count the stock mirrors. I also have the Kury engine kit that I've installed and uninstalled, laying around the parts pile.

...STOP THE MADNESS!!!:D

Your one sick puppy...haha. I buy stuff all the time and I try to tell myself I'll take me time to put it on...next then you know I'm in the garage working the midnight oil getting them on...Maybe I'm sick?
and you You guys just made my day and it's nice to know that I'm not alone. Most of the time I just want to see these option choices up close and the only way to see it is to purchase them for a better look. Thank god my curiosity is satisfied most of the times by just the photos that every one posts on the forum of their new upgrades or I would have to open up my own parts store for all the shit I would be buying. It funny how much you can end up with on a bike. I striped down a Honda shadow before I sold it thinking it wasn't really worth any more with the accessories on it so I might as well try get back some of what I had into it. It took me two weeks removing all the crap from it but it was well worth it when I sold the stuff on ebay for another $2200 that I would have otherwise never got had I left it on the bike. I have to be good for a while because I just spent a lot on a bathroom upgrade for the myrtle beach condo but Steveo you are right I really do want that C&C seat.
