Greetings,
Would one of you knowledgeable and kind individuals mind assisting a mechanically impaired newbie?
"Install Brake Line Adapter to the stock line and then attach braided line to adapter..." Huh?
I am installing Accutronix Forward Controls, however the directions are written for a person with a far superior knowledge then I currently have. I want to learn thus trying to avoid taking the bike into a shop for the install.
If helpful I can email you the directions I have. I just need a bit more information on how to proceed.
Thanks.

tdebees,
I designed the forward controls. I wrote the instructions for the forward controls. Why don’t you call me? I talk better than I type.

Troy I did. You wisely suggested that since I am dealing with the breaks it would be a good idea to have a pro do the install -- that way I don't wind up killing myself because I didn't have breaks.
But I am a tad dogmatic thus unless I try I won't learn, right? I have ordered the service manuals but they won't arrive for another week or so.
All the best

Ok, I remember you. I still recommend that you learn how to bleed brakes before you attempt to work on the brakes of any vehicle. Your safety & everyone else on the road will benefit from that.

Why don’t you do the install & have a mechanic bleed the brakes & show you how at the same time?
