Well this is the third time I am trying this mod. Using the stock tail/break and adding signal lights to it. The first two times I failed to get in open but third time is a charm. Well kind of. Now that its open I'm not sheer how to go about it. I may be looking to buy a rear break light off somebody that has changed theirs out after I destroy this one

here are some pics. I only screwed up one of the led. Its hard to show signal light operation via a picture.

The hardest part is to get into the light assembly. It is made up of two pieces. The red lens and the back (black). The red lens wraps around the back by about 1/8”. I used a bench grinder to remove that lip. After doing this you can see the joint of the pieces. But they are glued together. So I took an olfa knife and heated it up with a torch. Then with the hot blade pushed it into the joint. Then keep repeating it until you make it all the way around. Now you should be able to get it apart. Then I moved one led on each side over to make room for 7 LED cluster. I got these LED clusters from a pair of license plate signal lights. I opened them up the same way (hot olfa knife). Then I hot glued them in to place. Then hot glued the lens back on. Put it all pack together and COOL. It works. The only bad think uas that one of the LEDS that I moved over did not light up. But I can live with it.
