I put a nice scratch in the paint on the back wheel hub with a tie down. I went to my local Honda shop and as usual they we no help at all in locating some touch up paint to match. I could use Color Rite to make me some but I have no paint code to give them. Anybody have an idea of how to match that silver paint?

A lot of the guys have been taking the cover off and repainting it to match the color of the bike. I'm waiting for some one to make a chrome cover for this area. I think there would be a great demand for a chrome cover and a potential for great profits from the company who decides to make one. You might want to try any auto parts store for touch up paint. You won't have a perfect match but you should be able to find something close enough.

Thanx Dave. All good info! But for now I'd like to find touch up paint that will match ( if possible).

We have a lot of painters on board and I'm sure obne of them will jump in shortley and give you the best advise for an exact paint match.

Touch up...

Here is the truth... no matter how exact the paint is you'll always be able to see it because you know its there...its just how much of a perfectionist you are vs. your budget... the proper solution... take it off and re-paint the whole thing or have it chromed.

Good point!! I guess I SHOULD just paint the whole thing.
