Just put on the reaper tips on my Fury CXA. No baffels in the set, and i want to use them. The status know is that Raw design said i've got them and i says i haven't. May be the baffels was pulled out on outbound US or inbound Norway in Custom control - will never now that.

Need a picture of the baffels so that i can make them myself or much better, if someone have them and not using them - i'm happy to buy them.

The bracket that hold the original exhaust is in my opinion unmoveble. The ABS unit is blocking for the removal - so i will cut it off. Anyone with better ideas?

July 26th 2010. Homemade baffels were made, and sound is now deeper and not so high. The bracket was cut, and a bolton system was made. The brackets was made of 2 pipes. The inner pipe on the remaining bracket was extracted and nestet to the bracket that was cut off. Fits fine, so that i easely can switch to original exhaust pipes when needed. I have a lot of pictures, so anyone who wants can mail me to get them.

Thanks for all good advices. "Block out" of Raw Design is no good idea. Shit could happens to anyone.

Sorry to hear you have issues and missing the baffles. I would think that if customs takes something out of a box that they would have to notify you, did the box look like it had been opened? Can you not call customs and see what the deal is? Hope things work out and that you don't have to buy them again.

I would hold off on cutting anything off; can you send some photos of the bracket and ABS unit so we can give you a more intelligent* opinion?

The bracket is the same as on the CX. But the CXA have the ABS unit inline with the expantion tank. No space to move the bracket backwards or forward. Nearly impossible to get a picture of it. You have to own a cxa to fully understand it. My post was catched up som member of Detriot Cars owners club in Norway - and they again have a HD owner whom is a skilled mekanic.

So tomorrow at 0900 AM i will meet this guy - and probebly get a solution to both baffels and bracket. If so, i take pictures and post it on the forum.

The box have been opened, but i don't know when. It have a domestic travel from Bethel to Dalles before Glenn in Republic Cycle forwarded it to Norway. And Glenn is a rocking guy so im 100% sure that this is a custom related issue. And you dont fuck with this guys, neither in US or Norway.

Contact RAW and explain to them the issue... if they give you lip, we can put out a boycott on this issue on the forums if you like... BUT, please try to contact them again and explain the issue once more. I am so willing to put out a boycott of any vendor that does not listen to the customer... I personally am tired of bad customer service....! Even if it affects the bottom line!!! Trust me, I know the pain as I am too going through the same issue at work with a client or customer that thinks his way is the right way all the time... we rejected what he had to say and he changed his views, especially when it came to dealing with his pocketbook...

That is messed up. The guys at RAW seemed pretty cool when I had some questions about the install. I would talk to them again and explain the situation. I'm sure they will help you out. I hope it is pretty obvious that the vendor should be the ones to take a hit on the customs, not the customer. If you can't get them to send new ones, PM me I will take pics and measurements of mine and send them to you. I think they should be pretty simple to fab if you have the equipment.

hi, to be honest when i purchased my tips i didnt get baffles either and i went to the shop and picked em up in person. in real life you arent gonna want the baffles in. the tips are so sick without them imho.

You aren't where he is either (he is in Europe!!!)... He is across the sea... and if he ordered and payed for something, he should get what he wanted and what he ordered, regardless of how we or they think the issue should be handled, the customer ordered the item with the baffles in and can take them out if he so coshes, not what they want.... Since you have open lines to MetricFats Captain, please talk to them or I personally will issue a boycott against them. This is not the first time they have screwed up an order as is proof of what you have said... Sometimes ignorance is bliss and in this case it is truly sad that they will not help him out...

i dont disagree rss. just saying it probably wasnt customs, and that after i went to the "trouble" of getting a set of baffles i never used them since they sound better without them. good luck getting them. [email protected] is the guy to talk to. they are great guys there.

Sound is awesome without the baffles on accel and idle, decel it sounds like Easy E (the rapper not the forum member) is unloading a freakin Uzi at you. Could not stand the popping, so I have the baffles in. Still sounds good. I have an fi2000r and cannot get the popping to stop, apparently it is due to reversion and cannot be corrected. (IF THAT IS WRONG, PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO CORRECT IT!). Anyway, you paid for baffles, you should receive them. your choice to use them or not. I will still send you pics. I'm thinking of cutting mine to get a better sound but stop the reversion.

Buy the Fuggin Fuel controller... it is worth it as far a control goes on the bike... ummm, after you figure out the confusing engineering instructions...

Trace the back of your fender with some graphing paper, underneath, and transfer it onto an Aluminum piece of metal, cut it out and shape it like you want... then follow my vid... The brackets are actually the hardest part, as you will need a press or a good vice... ummm, , I know you like DIY projects, it is actually easier than you think... 1/8" aluminum for the brackets and 1/4" 6061 for the main piece...
