The appeal of the Fury still surprises me. Today I went to a bike show and I decided to enter mine. Got first place and a nice trophy. This is the second bike show I have entered and the second time I've taken first place. :D
Just wanted to share.

Pics? The best I got with the Fury was Second Place... Although my Gixxer was in the show and it took First, so I didn't feel too bad about it :D

after having 4 moving boxes of trophies downstairs .. from paper weights to 6 foot trophies from my Scion ... winning one or entering a contest really doesnt do it for me any more. My greatest ego boost, getting the thumbs up from kids to old people ( yes, they are older then Mental! LOL ) to the simple jaw dropping by by standers when i roar by in 2nd gear.

Congrats on the win, and heres to many more. I would like to see pics as well. Just to see what my competition is.:D

Thanks for the replies. I don't have any recent pics. but I'll try getting some soon. I really don't have a lot of mods and most are little simple things. I like the KISS approach. :D That was my point....the Fury's appeal seems to be high even without tons of mods. I'm sure it will calm down after the bike is out for awhile and the "new" thing comes along. There was a Sportster there that had every piece of chrome that was ever made attached to it. He was p o'd b/c he did not win. I don't go to win....I get enough of that with my hot rods. :D I go just for fun and each time I've been asked to enter the contest by other bikers.
I love this bike.

But..................opinions vary. :)

Keep It Simple Stupid. ;) That's how I roll. Other than some obvious changes that just have to be made, I'd like to keep the Fury as close to stock as possible......which isn't a problem on my budget. :(

Again, truly awesome... I would also like to enter contests as well, but it seems like most of them are up in L.A... for being such a large town, San Diego seems really small town sometimes... I know there is a calendar for rides... but is there one that anybody knows about for contests as well, just curious....???
