Better seat with interchangeable back rest.

I have been looking at different seats. The OEM is fine as long as you don't plan on being in it for long periods of time. I have yet to find one that accommodates an interchangeable back rest. Basically what I wish for is when I am alone riding like to and from work I can have the backrest for myself. But, when I am going to have a passenger I can swap the backrest back for them as obviously they will probably be sitting close enough to me that s backrest for me wouldn't be practical. My question is there such a thing as I have yet to locate it as all the ones I have seen the backrests are different part numbers for those two positions and have different mounting setups. I would think this shouldn't be such a huge thing but I guess on a Fury it is? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Looking forward to more good riding weather days.

I think Corbin seats have the same backrest for both positions. However Corbin have had quality problems for several years now and they are really expensive but check them out.

This is probably what you are after.

I kinda knew about them and yes they are very proud of what they sell or at least their price point says they are. I didn't know about the quality issues that sucks especially at those prices just saying they should be good quality but if they aren't I will probably steer clear like my bike a bit too much to outright waste money when I would have to redo it in a season or two.

Honestly I think I am going to need the lady(aside from the bike) in my life to help especially since she would be the one on the back.

A lot of us use a suitable sissy bar with a removable backrest or back pad for our wives when they come along. I have a Ginz sissy bar that stays on the bike and when my wife comes along I swap my C&C solo seat for a C&C Sport Tour seat, put the back pad on the sissy bar and put the pillion pegs with Cycle-istic pillion peg extenders on. With a good seat, +3" forwards for me and pillion peg extenders for her we can stay on the bike until we both need to stop for a pee or get fuel.

My gf bought her own bike cause she knew I wouldn't let her on the back. I'm not into 2 up riding. Most expensive seat ever.

If we all liked the same thing it would be boring. I can totally understand preferring to ride solo. I like it when the Mrs comes along but I admit riding two up changes the handling of the bike and you have to be more careful. Then again the most fun rides I have done have been solo and riding with friends through the US South West.
