I just received my pipes. I expected them to actually be BLACK pipes (either powder coated or ceramic, etc). But the actual pipes are still chrome with black covers. Can anyone comment on if this is right or not? Thanks.

I dont know about the cobra's but my samsons are black pipes with black heat shields.

Yes, this is right.
At first I thought it was bullshit, but then I figured if we want to go chrome later all we gotta do is buy the chrome heat shields. Much cheaper and easy to switch out.
Could change colors every week. This is better.
When they are on your bike you will love them. Not as loud as I wanted tho.

Thanks for the reply. We have the same color bikes and same radiator cover. I'll post pics of mine when it comes back from getting the pipes on. Did you notice any improved performance? I did also get the Power Commander V.

Well,
There is some debate about performance. I got the intake, fuel controller, exhaust.
But it is easy to mistake sound (exhaust) for performance. I would say it felt like I had more power but not enough to notice it every time I got on the bike. In other words, after riding it for about 1/2 hr with all the mods put on at the same time it did not feel any different then when they were not on.
It will look a hell of a lot better and sound a hell of a lot better tho. And let's face it. If we were looking to be speed racer then we probably would have gotten different bikes.

Have the blk swepts here and power commander.. Sounds awesome with nice power... Had a Hayabusa and zx 12 R before this so hyper speed wasn't what I expected... It's great... Great look, sound and so on.... I like black, originally ordered the chrome but was on backorder for a few months.. Very inpatient here so I took the black... Don't matter which I'd like em both.. Matte silv here so I figured the blk would go well too

I am actually getting a set of the Black swepts this weekend. I am paying $625 shipped. I bought a bunch of stuff from this guy Glen from Republic Cycles and thats the price he gave me. From what I see online this is the best price out there. I am so excited to get them.

Im glad I am getting the pipes the cheapest I could get them. I sent payment to him and I figure I will get them by Thursday at least. Saturday will be installing. Next thing is painting the side covers Matte Silver, braided lines, RSS LED tail lights and HID Slim ballast. I should be done for this month lol.

I just got the Pc, Swepts, Scythe mirrors" which came out great"haven't gone over 45 yet tho lol, have the Kury enging covers that I haven't even attempted to put on yet and the chrome dipstick that I'm nervous to use... Want tonget some killer grips next... Actually I want to do alot, or should I say have alot done...

Been riding for30 years straight tho I definatly am not a mechanic.. Tho I love detailing and tinkering with my Fury... Sometimes I'd rather stay home and play with my bike then go over my girls..lol

I just installed the Kury flame grips with stilleto ends along with red accent rings, switchblade mirrors. Totally makes a huge difference! I would like to get black anodized spike with chrome slots mounted on the oem grip caps and install them on the fork nuts. 70 bucks for those spikes is not a problem but I don't know how big they are. I don't want to chance it.

whatever they,re called... After just reading your post, can you get spikes etc for the stock grips?
