Hey all...

In the Fury pamphlet, they show braided lines as an accessory. I just got off Honda's site and I cannot seem to find them anywhere in the Accessory Area for the Fury.

Anyone know how to get the Braided Lines directly from Honda?

Thx,
Jeff.

(Will pick up my Red Fury next week)

After you find out what length they are. Find out from your dealer what other bikes use them. Then you can order some of the aftermarket ones cheaper and you can find the colored braided lines if you want them.

I was going to do this when I got my bike and throw the cost in on the loan, but the dealer told me that the ones that are for this bike are going to be custom fit and be exactly what they need to be,so they dont run short or are bunched cause they are too long, also the fittings are custom made and shaped exactly the way they need to be,so they dont have to modify anything and you have a less chance of a leak.

I had my "stealer" order the braided lines and they came in on Friday last week. You do need to order them from Honda (fury accessories) The part number just became available. I do not have them installed yet but I was told they are made to fit only the fury.

Purpose?

Do braided lines serve any purpose other than looks? I may get them just for the looks, but are there performance or wear and tear prevention benefits? Do the braided line replace all those ugly wires in the front if the bike or just some?

They actually don't wear out like your typical rubber and they put more pressure on the cylinder as they do not flex like typical brake lines. I would venture to say every true race bike has them. Galfer and Spiegler have been some of the front runners in devoloping quality high end brake components which start with the brake lines!

Just ordered them.

How much did they run you? Also, i've never changed the lines before. Is it difficullt?
I just ordered them from the dealer today. I should have them on Thursday. Looks like they will be slightly over $400 for all of them, front and back. Since I am not a wrench, I will probably just have the dealer put them on for me.

front brake line 08Z56-MFR-100A SRP 149.95
r.brake line 08Z56-MFR-100B 109.95
throttle cables 08Z56-MFR-100C 89.95
clutch 08Z56-MFR-100D 49.95

the "MFR" indicates Fury p/n, I am going to install them this weekend when I do my valves.
