O.K,
Sorry for being stupid new and still learning, but I have been searching for hrs (in here, google, ebay, etc,) and I can't find what I am looking for.
I want to change the covers under the seat. You know, the one over the battery and also the one on the other side. Or just take off the honda logo (sorry) and replace it with my own logo. But I cant find the covers and I need direction in taking the logo off if that is the way to go. Also how do I get a new logo to stay in the old honda logo's place?
Also I have been looking at the KURYAKYN engine cover inserts and there o.k.
I just don't see them staying on too long with glue or tape due to engine heat. Am I wrong?
Is there any other inserts I can look at? If there is can someone tell me where to go? BECAUSE I SUCK!

Thanks

I got the Honda logos off with needle nose pliers. I gripped the edges and pulled. The sticky stuff will most likely be the biggest pain in the butt. Goo Gone worked really well for me. Do NOT use a paper towl to wipe, it WILL scratch it. Use a Microfibre towel.

Mr Byber,
No one is making side covers, some on here have painted them to match the bike, getting the Honda off takes some pulling and WD-40, or you can "saw" them off with un-waxed dental floss. I have had the Kury covers on my VTX for 2 years with no problems, Honda also makes a set as does Willie and Max.
honda logos you can rip off, the side covers the 1300 customs may fit im not sure though so you can possibly get some from the factory painted but all the ones on here are painted after the fact.

I like the fact that i have honda left on everywhere. Its funny watching people checking out my bike and being either shocked that its a honda or someone insisting that it isnt a honda and another person being like look it says honda HERE, HERE and HERE
Honda was stuck on, I pulled it off then used WD-40 to massage the leftover adhesive off. Then wash, polish done :)

The only color that matches on the VT1300s is black, and the part #s are differant.

Mr Byber,
I'm sure glad you brought this up! I've been looking at those covers wondering how to eliminate the "Honda" logos. They're gone now! I just ordered the Kuryakyn set of three inserts. I figure if the glue and two-sided-tape for the Honda logos and reflectors is expected to last the life of the bike I can expect a few pieces of plastic to stay on. I'll still have a net weight loss since tossing the back seat and passenger pegs.
i have had the kury engine covers on for quite a while now and none have fell off.ride safe
