What are you guys doing for winter storage or general maint. I would like to have some sort of center stand but idk where to find one. Deff not enough room under the bike for a permanent one.
This is exactly what im doing.I went and bought a motorcycle lift from harbor freight for like 75 bucks then jacked it up just enough to get it off the ground and i go out to the garage once a week and run it for 15 minutes.

Taking the tires off of cold concrete or ground is a good idea - alternatively, you can put a few layers of cardboard underneath the tires to keep them insulated from the cold ground.I went and bought a motorcycle lift from harbor freight for like 75 bucks then jacked it up just enough to get it off the ground and i go out to the garage once a week and run it for 15 minutes.
Here in Oz we can ride year round so we are spared storing our bikes for winter. I'm glad you brought up ethanol free fuel as ethanol causes any number of problems for engines not used everyday. I believe the number 1 most important thing when storing your bike is to get rid of fuel with ethanol.Taking the tires off of cold concrete or ground is a good idea - alternatively, you can put a few layers of cardboard underneath the tires to keep them insulated from the cold ground.
It's not good to start the bike up for short periods during winter storage. The result is, you'll get condensation buildup inside the motor and exhaust which could cause internal rusting.
Before storing, fill up the tank with ethanol free gas and add a fuel stabilizer. Clean your battery terminals and install a battery tender plugin and keep the battery charged. When you take your bike out of storage, check your tire pressure, do an oil change and all should be good to go.
You’re correct on that point@pick.c.r
Before I changed the spring I would have to hold the bike upright for the jack to roll all the way under. After changing the spring I made a 1.5" riser for the rear tire otherwise the jack would not fit at all.
