Just wondering if any others out there have had chrome issues. My chrome cover on the left side of engine is bubbling. And my dealer is giving run around because I didn't purchase bike from them. Want to know where I keep, etc,,etc. Like I keep my Fury outside,,not.

Tell them you have a friend who is a really bad ass attorney and who would love to see them in court for breach of contract... of course it does help if you actually know one of those BAA's :D Hell they may even be a Fury owner...

Best of luck.

Yep...I have it too. It is on the left cover in the area of the bolts. Dealer took a picture of it and has ordered a new cover. I really do have a great dealer. Maybe you should ask to speak with your dealer's Honda Rep.

What are you doing with the ruined covers? I'm in the market :D if they give them back to you. I would like to paint a set to match my bike.

The panels in my old Honda used to match the paint instead of being chrome colored. I liked that much better. Hopefully Honda will cone out with some that match the bikes soon.

Hey just contact HONDA customer service, then it will trickle down from there.
Customer service will contact your local dealer and ask what the deal is, then they will contact you. I worked for 2 Honda dealerships and Honda is real good about warranty issues, they will want the old parts back. Also they do a lot of goodwill warranty stuff too.Good luck

I would think a chrome issue with a bike as new is this would be covered under the 1st year full coverage warranty to say the least..... I know my shop would take care of me.
You would think it would be covered but, my dealer had me come in before 45 days had passed after buying the bike. He said that is the time frame they have been given from Honda for any cosmetic issues.

I took it to the dealer and they took pics of it. Gona make a call into honda rep. I bought the bike in Toledo,OH. I live in Erie,pa. So its a little far for service, but would almost consider going back just for the excellent service. I guess I just compare everything to warranty work for cars, I'm an auto tech at a Hyundai dealer and they warranty or can warranty whatever they choose to. Just all in how it's presented. And how good a customer. But in the end it still comes down to if it's covered then replace it.

Can anyone confirm that this actually the chrome plating separating from the surface beneath? I think I have the same thing, but thought it was just an irregularity in the surface of the cover (a defect in the cover mold)?

warranty should be good for one year. i had a rear damaged wheel and the dealer ordered a new one for me. they replaced it at nocharge when the new one came in. however you are not allowed to keep the parts that were replaced. they have to turn the parts back into the manufacter. dave lanc. new york

I wondered about the issues we would have with that chrome stuff. Now I know...NOT GOOD. Just have to hope that Honda will fix it if we keep putting it in their face. Thanks for letting us all know. Now we can all keep a close watch on ours. Good luck and keep us posted.
