Yes yes, did a few searches. Will the plastic "chrome" pieces on the fury dull like a chrome plated metallic surface?
Seems like no matter what I do on the plastice parts I end up with very fine scratches.

Im wondering if Im just pissing in the wind on these plastic parts and doing more harm than good?

Also need to throw in here that im NOT using a chrome polish.

Go to the Honda dealer and get the can that is black and pink.. its a Polish... do not use mother's chrome cleaner on it and above all, use micro fiber towels on it.. I have not washed my bike this whole time.. I only used the polish or a wet rag to clean the bike.. special occasions, mothers chrome Polish on the real chrome, but the Polish on the plastichrome...

RSS... Why not Mothers Chrome Polish for the plastic chrome?? You need to explain this one... I am really confused since Mothers has a great line of products... and please do not just say "my dealership told me not to". Please give us an explanation how this product is not right for cleaning the plastic chrome on our bikes... and if your reason is because your dealer said it then what is the reasons they give for not using Mothers or other shelf products that Honda does not make...Thanks. I am really confused on why this one. Look forward to your reasoning.

I could have sworn that ive seen warnings on the bottle to not use it on plastic....just ran out to the garage and looked at my bottle of Mother's chrome polish. Only warning is to not drink the stuff.

I use Bugslide cleaner and polish. Plastic shines.
I probably wouldn't use chrome cleaner on the plastic because it's not chrome. It's plastic.
I put the bugslide on the entire bike. No water needed. You don't even need to wipe it off if you don't want to. It's safe on all surfaces.

Im happy with the products I use. I guess I should just ask this.. How long can I keep the cheap plastic looking like new before it starts spiderwebbing?
A long time... just use the right products. .. there are guys with older Honda's at the bike rallies I go to that have the plastichrome on it and as long as you clean it correctly, will look good for awhile...

Well I have... here it is...

"Mothers Chrome Polish cleans and brightens chrome bumpers, wheels, trim, and accessories. Safe for black chrome and show chrome plating. Will not streak, scratch or smear. Advanced polymer protection resists fingerprints and spotting. Safely cleans and protects glass and mirrors."

Once again... my question is why you are not recommending it?

Now before anyone thinks that I am trying to have a arguement with RSS let me explain myself here since he is considered a "esteemed member" of the forum.

I have been using Mothers Chrome Polish since I bought my bike in May of 2009... over 16K miles ago... since that time I have had only one issue with my chrome flaking and that was due to a mechanic at one of the dealership chipping it with a wrench. If what I am using is the wrong product, I want to know so I do not damage my plastic chrome and this is why I am asking for a point blank reason other than because you say so.

Thanks for your all time.
