hey guys, can anyone give me a quick how to on removing the baffles from the cobra slashdowns? i have done a couple searches and its tough to find a thread that is about doing it as opposed to talking about the pros and cons. thanks.

On the back side rear of the pipes remove the four bolts.(two for the end caps and two for the baffles) Remove the end cap then reach inside with a metal hook or something that won't bend easy and pull out the baffle. Believe me it sound easier then it is.

I bent a long + or phillips screwdriver to a ninety on the end about a half inch long and put it in the baffle holes and put a pair of vise grips on the screw driver just below the handle and tapped on it with a hammer may have to give some hard little love taps and they will come out. Looks like a long donkey with holes all around it. Be sure and remove the screw holding each baffle in or they will never come out.

it seems that most everyone has a different experience, my bike only had 400 miles on it and I thought my baffles would never come out! I hooked a coat hanger on the baffle and yanked it with vice grips... Good Luck

thanks guys, took out the bolts pulled the caps and used a coat hanger to pull em out.. slid out easy. appreciate it.

lol... I'm thinking I should make a Wiki-Fury page, so that everybody can throw their idea's in there and I'll fact check it (against other's as well), then send it out to the public, might be easier that way...
