would it be possible to change the color of the speedometer light? I'm having difficulty seeing the speedo at night...takes too long to focus in on speed.

What a good idea! Blue light would look great there and a nice custom touch to the bike!

According to the service manual the instrument light is LED x 7.
Looking at the removal diagram they are soldered to a printed circuit board.
It would require a little creative electronic LED replacement to change the color LED's on the circuit board.

It isn't hard to replace the LED lights. I've done it on all of my sport bikes with no problem. You just need to get some diode LEDs and start removing the old and adding the new with a pointed soldering gun.

i have been thinking about this also, i do not like the dimness of factory red. i have been planning on taking mine apart soon to do some brighter different color leds. if anyone attempts this before me post up some pics please
