I dont like it that the Low & Mean adapter kit doesn't allow the vacume lines to connect to the adapter. They supply the little filters that just dangle behind the cover. The vacume lines are connected to the adapter for a reson "For Vacume". Just as your car had vacume lines connected to the carb for vacume, otherwise your car would have had little filters on the end instead of being connected to the intake. Im going to go along with the Accutronix intake adapter with the bottom bracket as it allows the vacume lines to connect directly to the intake, just as the factory OEM intake does.

Correct! The stock lines do connect behind the filter, on the intake I might add, witch allows the vacume to work when the bike is running or excelerating. If you unhook the vacume lines from the intake and put a little filter on it, how does the vacume work? It can't, because it has been dissconected from the vacume source. There is a reason for these lines to be connected to the intake so the vacume works. The Low and Mean intake adapter would have been perfect if it allowed the vacume lines to connect to the intake, just as the OEM intake does or the Accutronix does. Again, I will add that the Low and Mean adapter with the big cover is the nicest looking adapter as it hides all the stuff you don't want to see, but they should have put more effort into what it does instead of just the look. I think we can agree the this would be a better product if we could just connect the OEM vacume lines directly to the intake like there supposed to, rather then having to chop the lines, add filters and come up with an idea to keep them from rattling around the adapter cover.
Question.. Why are there vacume lines connected to the OEM intake, what purpose do they serve and will dissconecting them cause problems or longterm damage to the bike?
