Couple a small-stuff questions tryin' to get nailed down now that most parts are in and bike is almost ready to go back together:

1. widget question 1: some of you mounted the Kury Engine chrome kit, and indicated that one piece, I believe right side piece that covers the clutch housing, didn't fit quite flush using the supplied Kury two-side tape. (too thick I believe.) Any of you remember what name/specific type of thinner tape you used instead? I went to 3m's website; they got like 200 types of two side tape on there; anyone tell me 'exactly' what they used that worked well? Or, someone said something about liquid adhesive; some kinda tube stuff; if that's held up what specifically was that, any name/specific I can use to go find some?

2. widget question 2: almost embarassed to ask this, but what the heck: if you got chrome rims and you want some kinda chrome valve stems/covers so you don't have the oem stem stickin' outta there, WHAT ACTUALLY DO YOU HAVE TO ORDER??? I thought this would be obvious, but when I google chrome valve stem/covers I pull up some different looking things. So, do I need to order new VALVE STEMS, plus VALVE COVERS, plus VALVE CAPS - or just covers or what? Ran it past the parts guy at dealer and he didn't know either. Or is there something that comes all as one piece I need? Sounds like a stupid question, I know, but any info appreciated, thx ...

3. widget 3: Is there such a thing as good-quality chrome wheel-weights vs. bad-quality chrome wheel weights, and how do you know? Might go with dynabeads, but the chief wrench at dealership is strongly against them, so may go with basic old lead weights; haven't decided, but if I DO go with weights instead of beads; anyone used some chrome stickon's that are good and don't fall off? any info appreciated ...

1. I just let the engine heat up and pressed down on that particular piece, it warmed up the tape and helped me squish it more, been looking good ever since.

2. dont' know, haven't chromed my rims yet

3. Ask Tony_fury about all of those as he had some normal weights, some chrome weights and some dynabeads... He'll tell ya the whole shabang...

2. RC Components can probably help you. I got my chrome wheels from them and they had chrome stems.

3. I had my weights mounted inside of the wheels. I had to pay a little for them to be broken down since RC had them mounted and outside balanced, but the end result was NO weights visible on either of my wheels. Of note though the RC weights were chrome.

1. Buy the engine specific to the Fury and not the VTX1300. Use RTV adhesive on the peice that sticks up to far because of the tape.

2. I have my wheels at the chromer now, they are installing new chrome stems, likely chrome stem covers, when I get them I'll post pics

3. My dealer has press on chrome weights, thats what I'm going with.

#3, You may find that you don’t need weights at all. My wheels fell in the acceptable range and they said if I needed them, then they would put them on. Ride seems fine to me.
P.S. You have your mirrors on your bike yet?:D

3. Dyna beads resolved the stick on weight issue.. 1 oz in the front wheel, 2 oz in the rear wheel..
Rides smooth...
