Well boys put another Fury on RIP list. had a snow bird pull out in front of me last Friday. I got slowed down just enough to fly about 125 feet instead of 150. The bike is a total loss, as for me, broken wrist, collar bone, and shatered my elbow. All in all im doing well. Hope to have a new Fury in a few months. Its not easy to keep a hard man down!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to work out in Sun City before Suprise came about. Got hit on my yamaha by a snowbird in a golfcart!! Never forget it. She plowed into the side of me at a gas pump and proceeded to have me arrested.

All travel for snowbirds should be limited to air transport only!!

I was hit at 83 ave and Bell. She said she couldnt see me. I gotta say the Scorpian jacket saved my from a sh*t load of road rash, and of corse HJC i owe them me life. Maybe if i send them my helmet so they can see how bad it could have been they will send me a new one free

Glad to see you're able to post up about the experience...best of luck on your recovery. I wrecked a CBR600RR back in 03' at around 80mph too, and I was back on a bike as soon as the cast came off...it's just one of those things you know.

Hyredgunn....That soooooo sux! ! ! !

I live near Happy Valley and 55th......Bought my Fury from Scottsdale Honda on Hayden.
I'm very glad to hear you're gonna' be okay. I was airlifted to Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan in May 2002 after a Roadstar crash. (Not my fault, either) I was in fairly bad condition. Since I'm a pilot, I made the decision not to ride anymore.....(Right leg has a lot of metal holding things together). Well, I reversed that decision about three months ago and bought the Fury. I couldn't be happier. I find myself riding more cautious than before......Not a wimp, just more careful.......we all have to ride "like we are COMPLETELY invisible to ALL others on the road"......God Bless, Get well soon, and Merry Christmas.

Man, that ain't cool. That ain't cool at all. I'm sure sorry to hear that. Of course she said she "couldn't see you". That sounds so much better than, "I'm a dumb bitch in a hurry and thought I could quickly pull out and make it." I'm glad to see you have a positive attitude. I don't believe mine would recover so quickly.

This is why they should allow show lights on bikes to be on at all times on the roads as to draw some kind of attention to us so that this doesn't happen and the "I didn't see you crap" can't be used... Happy the OP is okay though!

Hyredgunn... Glad to hear that you are almost all in one piece. Delt with snowbirds in the El Centro area so I know what you mean with them staying to flight. I would say yeah on sending your helmet to HJC, it never hurts. Glad to read that you have not fallen to hard off the horse and are already planing on getting another one... look forward to some pics when you get her up and going.

really? a lot of times i ride with my hi-beams on, day or night. the way i see it, if they flash their hi beams at me, that means that they saw me :)
I ride with my high beams on all the time too, learned that from an old timer... I was talking about "show lights"... you know, led's all over your bike to "light" up your bike "show" style...

So glad you still have your life and your since of hummor to boot! The bike can be replaced, man, you can't. My husband and I were two up on his M109 when we hit sand in a curve and totaled the bike. Check with your insurance. Ours replaced our helments 100% and my home owners policy paid for the boots, gloves, jackets, and chaps! Yes, I said home owners policy...crazy but clothes were covered that way. We had State Farm on both the bike and house. Good luck to you! Hope you are back in the saddle soon!

Hey Wes, I got your text. I'm sorry to hear what happened. These damn snowbirds around here are annoying as hell

When I wrecked my Ducati, Progressive paid for all of my gear 100%, but they wouldn't give my helmet back since they 'paid' for it. I'm glad it wasn't worse, but I know it's still pretty bad.
