I haven't decided yet weater i want to put custom pipes on my Fury. The local Honda dealer told me to beware of the Map fuel regulator. He told me that more mapping may be required to avoid backfires during downshifting.
Any advice?

I have the V & H Cruzers on my bike and there is no backfiring and my bike runs fine and when I installed these I believe it gave me more power as well.

Yes I did, the bracket that came with the set will not work on the fury. I went to a metal shop and bought a metal plate and cut the piece off that bolts to the mufflers to get the correct alignment and extended it so it would bolt up where the factory pipes bolt on at. The tools I used was a torch and drill. You do have to put a slight bend in the plate so it will bolt up to the frame correctly so you will need the torch to heat up the plate to put the bend in it. Some mufflers have interchangable baffles for different back pressures,to help with tuning . The bikes are lean from the factory,some times aftermarket pipes
will lean the bike out even more.

Does anyone know what the deminsions are to making Custom pipes? Like the average length and more importantly the diameter of the pipes? I think I am gonna mess around in my garage and try to make some....why not got nothing better to do till It warms up! Thanks Y'all!! =)

cobra swepts

i run cobra swepts with the 2000mapper....no prob if setup is correct...as far as backfire...do you mean a pop out of the exhaust on downshift or pop out of airbox......wanted to let you know a true backfire comes from the air intake. goodluck

Anyone have the cobra fi2000r? What is the better commander to have? and does the cobra fi2000r self adjust as you put on new mods. or do you have to go in and adjust it everytime?
