Cutting the plastic fender

Has anyone had experience cutting the front fender yet?
I'm wanting to shorten it and kind of curve it like the front of it.

I know it's plastic, just wondering what would be the best way. Too much heat from cutting and the melting begins..

Any feedback would be appreciated

Tony,

I haven't done it on the Fury but I have on other plastic fenders. :)

I took a small cutoff wheel and did the contour cut going slow and not getting too hot. I did not cut all the way through on the first or second pass...just made the indentation. Finally ... All the way through. Then I sanded the edge down smooth and then even smoother. Repainted and looked good. ;)

I was going to try with a zip saw but those things can get away from you!
Tony,

I think I would do it Painters way.
But, a belt sander with several different grits of sanding belts could produce a nice job too. The key either way is go slow to avoid heat.
